Community cat overpopulation is a major concern in our area and around the country. Any free-roaming cat or kitten, whether feral or friendly, who does not have an owner can be considered a community cat. Many estimates have the number of community cats in the US being in the tens of millions.
With this in mind, CCHS is pleased to announce the creation of The Roger H Johnson and Kay Swanson Community Cat Fund. This fund was created in memory of Roger and Kay, who together rescued and provided care for many cats and kittens in need during their lifetime.
The Roger H Johnson and Kay Swanson Community Cat Fund is to be used to provide medical care and spay and neuter services to unowned cats in our community, including feral cats.
Donations to the Roger H Johnson and Kay Swanson Community Cat Fund will go directly to the efforts of getting control of our local community cat population.
