We’ve always known enrichment is important for the animals at CCHS — toys, puzzles, scent games, the occasional cardboard box that becomes a spaceship. But something… unexpected happened.
Let’s just say a few enrichment materials got a little too close to the microwave in the cat kitchen. (We’re still investigating how. The cats are refusing to comment.)
The good news:
All the animals are completely safe, happy, and in excellent spirits.
The surprising news:
The animals are now huge. “We’re talking giant,” Said one CCHS representative. While our team works on a plan to gently return everyone to their proper size (we’re consulting scientists, wizards, and at least one very confused electrician), we could use a little help keeping these super-sized sweethearts fed. Because as it turns out, giant pets eat giant amounts of food.
Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing updates, photos, and stories about our newly-enlarged residents and where they may be roaming until we get them back to regular size.
In all seriousness it costs CCHS $15,000 dollars a year to feed all of the animals that rely on our services, your donation is keeping these amazing animals fed while they rely on our services. We thank you for your gift that will go directly to feeding the animals!
Stay tuned, stay amused, and stay ready, because when life gives you giant pets, you lean in and create a giant fundraiser to make sure everyone gets fed!
